Welcome to Karimnagar | AP, Andhra Pradesh, India

History: Karimnagar is one of India’s municipal corporations that extend to Telangana and onto Andhra Pradesh. This area has the country’s administrative headquarters. Karimnagar is near the banks of Manair River, and it’s a tributary of the Godavari River. Near the central part of the city is Telangana, which is about 162 kilometers north of the city Hyderabad. Hyderabad is the capital. Karimnagar is one of the chief business centers and it is emerging toward the hub of education regions that comprise of three engineering and two medical colleges. A pharmacy college is here also. Karimnagar has a unique history just like most of India’s country. Karimnagar got its title from the Syed Karimullah Shah Saheb Quadri and it became one of Nizams capital. Famous Prime Ministers, such as P.V. Narasimha Rao was in this region. Tribes habitat in various parts of Karimnagar, including in the Gonds, Chenchus, and Koyas regions. During 2001, Karimnagar residents made up over 5, 00,000. The general male population made up more than half. The literacy ration in this area is over 75%. Some of this percentile makes up 12% of children who are highly literate. These children are under 6-years-old. Karimnagar has group of famous temples, which Muslim’s make up a significant group of the population. In Karimnagar, it is easy to travel, since the distance from one area to another is not significant and there are buses and other transport to carry tourists anywhere they desire, i.e. around the city. One of the leading road transports is the APSRTC. Hyderabad has recently built a new airport, so this is the closest airport near Karimnagar. The International Hyderabad is the single airport used to transport tourists in and out of the country. Another airport is considered, which may be the Basant Nagar in the district of Karimnagar.
